A shooting at an Amazon warehouse in Mattison, Illinois, witnessed a shooting in a parking lot before the gunman escaped
On a Tuesday morning in Matteson, gunshots were heard in the parking area of the Amazon Fulfillment Center.
At about 11:20 a.m., an Amazon employee was shot in a parking lot located at 7001 Fulmer Road in Matteson, according to local authorities.
When police arrived at the scene, the alleged gunman and the victim were gone, according to Mattison Police Chief Michael Jones, who stated that the dispute took place in the front parking lot.
The shooting hit a car, but according to officials, no one was hurt in the accident. Along a single row of the parking lot, there were no less than six clue signs to be found scattered around.
A spokeswoman for Matteson said police believed the shot was a “target”.
The police are looking for the man responsible for the shooting. The FOX3 News team has contacted Amazon for comment.
