WARTABANJAR.COM, JAKARTA – With the approach of Eid Al-Adha 1443 AH, the government will work through the Ministry of Religion to make the necessary arrangements regarding the sacrifice in the midst of the spread of mouth and nail disease (PMK) in the livestock in the country.

“Towards Eid al-Adha and the three days of pilgrimage to Eid al-Adha, the need for livestock will be great, especially cows and goats. But given the epidemic of mouth and nail disease (PMK), the Ministry of Religion will make arrangements regarding how livestock will be sacrificed during the PMK pandemic,” the Minister of Religion said.
The religion minister said his party continues to coordinate with Islamic organizations across Indonesia to disseminate information about the implementation of sacrifices during the PMK period to the public.

“The matter is that it must be transmitted, and the law of the sacrifice is a confirmed Sunnah, and it is a desirable Sunnah, it is not obligatory. This means that if this sacrifice is not performed under certain circumstances, we cannot force it, and other alternatives will be searched of course.”
Minister of Religion said that his party will coordinate in the next two days with Islamic organizations so that the rules regarding the implementation of sacrifices in the midst of an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease can be conveyed to the public immediately.
“In the next day or two, we will immediately coordinate with Islamic organizations so that they can be conveyed to the public, to the public, what is the sacrifice law and how to sacrifice in a situation like now where the foot-and-mouth disease epidemic is spreading in Indonesia.” He added, “The rest of course we will follow the rules issued later by the National Bank.
