OKT died after five days of hospitalization

Shah Alam – A man who was in custodial (OKT) died after five days of treatment at Shah Alam Hospital (HSA), yesterday.

39-year-old OKT was confirmed dead at approximately 5.40pm by HSA medical officials.

Shah Alam District Police Chief and Assistant Commissioner Mohammad. Iqbal Ibrahim said, based on investigations, it was found that OKT was arrested on June 15 before his arrest in Shah Alam Central Prison.

He said the man was detained for investigation pursuant to Section 3(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Special Preventive Measures (LLPK).

The OKT attempted to hang himself at Central Prison the same day and was rescued and sent to HSA for treatment.

However, medical officials confirmed that OKT passed away in hospital yesterday. He said in a statement today that the cause of death is not yet known.

According to him, the Criminal Investigations and Death in Custody Unit (USJKT), Bukit Aman Department of Integrity and Compliance with Standards (JIPS) is conducting an investigation into the case. -Cosmo! Online
