Johor Bahru, 29 July – The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) obtained evidence from the parties involved in the case of the assault of an autistic boy by a teacher at a treatment center in Skudai, recently.
North Johor Bahru Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner of Police Rupiah Abdul Wahid, said his party had discovered a message on social media belonging to Ms. Baan Zeti regarding her 7-year-old son being abused by the treatment center teacher.
“The review found that this case is still under investigation by North Johor Bahru District Police Command (IPD),
“Following a preliminary investigation into the complaint, the child in question has been referred to Kulai Hospital for treatment and medical examination,” he said in a statement on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the victim was referred to Sultan Ismail Hospital, Johor Bahru for specialist treatment by experts in his health condition.
The victim’s mother explained that the accused was not a teacher in her child’s subject, but a PPKI teacher.
Rubbia said all concerned parties have received affidavits to assist in the investigation.
“The case is being investigated under Section 31 (1) (a) of the Children Act 2001 and if found guilty he could be punished with a maximum term of 20 years imprisonment or a fine of RM50,000 or both,” he said. – airtimes.my
