The son of singer and composer Yassin Suleiman, Malika, 14, was seen happily when he was able to meet his father after a rehearing of his case at Petaling Jaya District Court, yesterday.
The joy of the two children was recorded through a joint photo on Yassin’s Instagram account.
Through the delivery, he informs IG, which is run by his family, that the chemical report has been completed and that the mention of the case will be made on July 6.
“Today, Yassin’s case will be mentioned in court. Thank God the chemical report is ready and the next court date is July 6, two weeks from today (yesterday).
“Yasin’s hair was cut by the barber shop Hafeez Keda, another detainee at Sergeant Buloh,” the statement posted in the caption read.
The update caught the attention of social media followers who gave different reactions.
One of his followers commented, “Praise be to God, the cure for missing sons and fathers.”
“Unfortunately, I know you well,” said one net resident.
One netizen hoped, “I hope that Yassin will be released soon.”
Muhammad Yassin was indicted in the Magistrate’s Court, on March 31, for distributing cannabis weighing approximately 214 grams in his home.
The crime was committed in a condominium unit at Persiaran Surian Damansara Indah Resort Home, PJU 3 Kota Damansara here, at 5.30 pm, on March 24.
Subsequently, the accused has been charged under section 39b(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and can be punished under section 39b(2) of the same law which provides for life imprisonment or hanging to death and if not sentenced If convicted, a maximum of fifteen lashes shall be punished with death.
