Dubai is already preparing to launch its first fleet of self-driving taxis in the year 2023.
This was first announced by Vice President Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid in May and announced that possibly 25 per cent of travel to Dubai will be driverless.
In June Dubai Municipality announced that its Department of Geographical Information Systems was already producing high resolution maps used in self-driving vehicles.
This map will allegedly be used by companies as a solution for self-driving vehicles.
Meanwhile, all self-driving vehicles are in line with the UAE’s desire to reach net zero carbon emissions in the emirate.
